Corinna Radke reads “Bertie’s Christmas” by Alexander McCall Smith

Let’s conclude this week with another text from Scotland, this time from Edinburgh. Corinna Radke reads a passage from Alexander McCall Smith‘s “44 Scotland Street” Series.

The “44 Scotland Street” novels are set in “… a quiet urban neighbourhood in the author’s home town of Edinburgh where the inhabitants lead extraordinary lives and little Bertie Pollock is at the centre of it all.”

Today’s text is entitled “Bertie’s Christmas” and gives you an idea about the pre-Christmas season in the Stuart household.

Corinna Radke is Programme Coordinator and Foreign Language Assistant at the Centre for British Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
