Susanne Zeyse reads “Advent” by Rainer Maria Rilke

Here’ s a short poem by my favorite German poet. Why do I like Rilke so much? Because he speaks directly to my heart and never lets me down. Why do I like this poem? Because it takes us away from all the noise and activity of Christmas to a cold but peaceful winternight and the thought of that one person that I would like to be there with me. I love it.
