Claire Squires reading “Visions of Sugar Plums Danc’d in their Heads”
This ‘sestude’ (a work of 62 words) was written by Claire Squires in response to part of the collection from Edinburgh’s Museum of Childhood – a box of sugary treats. It was also inspired by Clement Clarke Moore’s ‘A Visit from Saint Nicolas’, and the popular UK TV dance show, Strictly Come Dancing.
Claire Squires is Professor of Publishing at the University of Stirling, Scotland, and a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award. You can find out more about the piece she wrote here: link to the Edinburgh Museums and Galleries’ website and find out more about Claire at www.clairesquires.com
